EMT CLASS

UEMR offers a EMT course to the UT Dallas campus in partnership with El Centro Community College during the fall, summmer, and spring semesters. Upon completion of the course you will be eligible to take the national certification exam and subsequently apply for a Texas Department of State Health Services EMT-Basic license. You may use this license to work in any EMS agency within Texas, any Emergency Room, or other healthcare fields. An EMT may earn on average up to $15-$20 per hour depending on the employer.

After completion of the course, you will also be eligible to apply for membership to University Emergency Medical Response.

If you are on a pre-health track, competing EMT training will allow you much better opportunities to work alongside physicians and other healthcare personnel as well as develop critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
