Stop the Bleed
Every semester, UEMR offers Stop the Bleed classes to the UT Dallas community. Stop the Bleed classes are open to the public. Times and locations for the classes are posted here, along with on UEMR’s social media accounts, at the beginning of every semester.
Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action intended to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. Our providers, along with hundreds of other UT Dallas students, have joined the initiative to create a “Stop the Bleed” campus to further the mission of a safer UT Dallas community.
The course is free, and lasts approximately 1.5 hours. It is taught by UEMR volunteers and offered to the public several times a semester. At the end of the course, students will have earned a Stop the Bleed certification.
